Maja K Mikkelsen is a Sweden--based filmmaker and artist with a background in marine biology.

Her work aims to inspire change in an uplifting, relatable way, a desperately needed perspective in a world filled with pressure, guilt-tripping or ignorance. Mikkelsen's belief is that the most potent change happens when people feel capable and resilient, which comes from seeing the good forces at work in the world.

Her award-winning debut film The Last Observers has received high praise and has upcoming screenings in 2025 in Europe, North America and Asia.
